The session will be in two parts
1. A brief presentation by the planning group:
What is “peace education” in Australia to-day?
what are the priorities given the challenges facing Australia (and its place in the world) at this time?
This will be followed by Q&A and discussion

2 Small groups of 6 to 8 people discuss Pax Christi’s contribution to peace education – what might we attempt over the next two years – what could be a feasible project or program for 2019? Groups invited to make concrete proposals.

3 The whole group finally seeks consensus on a possible Pax Christi project or programme for 2019 – and begins the task of fleshing out the proposed course of action in a little more detail).

When we speak of Peace Education we are not confined to formal programmes. We need you to remember and reflect how you caught the vision for peacemaking.

We begin with a shared meal at 1 p.m. and aim to finish by 4.30.
We hope you might consider joining the Pax Christi committee and help plan next year’s activity.
