Every two years Catholic Mission, in partnership with Catholic Religious Australia, hosts the Mission: one heart many voices conferenceThe purpose of the conference is to lead people into an exploration of the transformative leadership that is needed for our times. Particularly looking at how the church can be a strong civil society leader to bring about the changes called for by Pope Francis in his documents such as Fratelli Tutti and Laudato Si.

This year the conference is completely online and provides participants the opportunity to experience a diverse range of international and local speakers with broad lived and practical experience in their respective field. This conference will encourage participants to explore ‘Leadership for Mission Now’ through the frame of an open mind, open heart and open will, embracing curiosity, compassion and courage.

This conference will be from September 1 – 4, 2021, with September 4 being a special day with young people exploring issues that are especially relevant to them and for us all.

This time of global disruption we are experiencing calls the Church to lead ‘in the world’ recognising the places of transformation the Spirit is calling us to. Our conference aims to: empower people with a vision of mission that is collaborative, scriptural and deeply theological, one that affirms, enables, encourages and inspires. It aims to hear the many and varied voices and to encourage “dialogue among all people of good will” [Fratelli Tutti #6]
